2017-2018 Agency Funding Awards Announced

United Way of West Central Minnesota conducted its Community Review process in early April thanks to the help of over 50 volunteers. These volunteers reviewed applications, visited agencies and conducted interviews to determine how to best allot $350,000 in program funding. “The process reminded us that needs are still great in West Central Minnesota and that we are incredibly blessed to have a multitude of amazing programs working to change lives in our community,” said James Miller, United Way Executive Director.

The Community Reviewers carefully considered applications submitted under United Way’s Impact Areas: Education, Health and Basic Needs. United Way is pleased to announce that United Way funds will be used to fund 40 area programs represented by the following agencies.

In total, United Way will provide almost $700,000 to programs for the upcoming year in an effort to improve lives right here in West Central Minnesota.

United Way is nearing the end of the campaign year, and invites the community to LIVE UNITED by giving locally to impact our community and agencies here at home. United Way asks that you consider attending one of the upcoming fundraising events or making a donation. “It’s important to know that dollars raised here stay here, and every dollar can make a difference.” Miller said.
